Five arrested in drug investigation, two outstanding warrants

CLAY COUNTY, NC – On January 21,2020 investigators with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office concluded the first phase of a lengthy investigation into the distribution of controlled substances in the area, which led to the arrest of multiple people for various controlled substance violations. The listed subjects were arrested and charged with the following:

Rebecca Brandi Price, 34, of Hayesville was charged with: 4 counts of Manufacture Schedule II, 4 counts of Sell Schedule II, 4 counts Deliver Schedule II, 4 counts of Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling Place for Controlled Substance and 4 counts of Possession of Methamphetamine. She was given a $250,000 bond.

Travis Franklin Thurmond, 48, of Hayesville was charged with: 2 counts of Sell Schedule II, 2 counts of Deliver Schedule II, 2 counts of Manufacture Schedule II, 2 counts of Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling Place for Controlled Substance and 2 counts of Possession of Methamphetamine. He was given a $100,000 bond.

Michael Vernon Davis, 58, of Hayesville was charged with: 2 counts of Sell and Deliver Schedule II and Manufacture Schedule II. He was given a $100,000 bond.

Amy Allen Dockery, 51, of Hayesville was charged with: 2 counts of Sell Schedule II, 2 counts of Deliver Schedule II, 3 counts of Manufacture Schedule II, 2 counts of Possession of Methamphetamine and Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substances. She was given a $100,000 bond.

Broderick Levoid Hinton,62, of Hayesville was charged with:
2 counts Sell & Deliver Schedule II and Manufacture Schedule II. He was given a $100,000 bond.

Clay County Sheriff’s Office have two outstanding warrants for those wanted in connection with this investigation.

Michael Robert Cone of Hayesville is wanted for: Sell Deliver Schedule II and Manufacture of Schedule II.

Ryan Neal Jones of Hayesville also has outstanding warrants for: Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substance, Manufacture of Schedule II, Sell Schedule II and Deliver Schedule II.

Arrests made after long investigation into trafficking of marijuana and heroin

On February 1, 2019 the Clay County Sheriff’s Office concluded a 2-month long investigation into trafficking of marijuana and heroin in Clay County. On Friday morning agents with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Union County (GA) Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence in the Barlow Fields subdivision on Fires Creek Road. During a search of the residence, numerous items were seized including, drug paraphernalia, suspected heroin and marijuana as well as a large sum of US currency. The following were arrested at the residence

Vance Anthony Violino, 30 of Hayesville was charged with:
3 counts of Possession of Heroin, 2 counts of Possession With Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Heroin, 2 counts Sell Heroin, 2 counts Deliver Heroin, Manufacture Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Sell of Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Deliver of Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Felony Possession Marijuana and Possession With Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Marijuana. He also has outstanding warrants for arrest from Georgia for 2 counts of Felony Sale of a Controlled Substance. He was given a $250,000 bond and court date of February 11, 2019.

Tori Lace Mills, 24 of Hayesville was charged with:
2 counts Possession of Heroin, 2 counts of Possession With Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Heroin, 2 counts Conspire to Sell Heroin, 2 counts Conspire to Deliver Heroin, Manufacture Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Conspire to Sell Heroin, Conspire to Deliver Heroin, Simple Possession Schedule III Controlled Substance, and Simple Possession Schedule VI Controlled Substance. She was given a $250,000 bond and court date of February 11, 2019.

Robert Anthony Violino, 58 of Hayesville was charged with:
3 counts Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place Controlled Substance, Felony Possession Marijuana and Possession With Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Marijuana. He was given a $50,000 bond and a court date of February 11, 2019.

Kimberly Eastman Violino, 55 of Hayesville was charged with:
3 counts Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place Controlled Substance, Felony Possession Marijuana and Possession With Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Marijuana. He was given a $50,000 bond and a court date of February 11, 2019. She was given a $50,000 bond and a court date of February 11, 2019.
