Hayesville’s Jake Mctaggart Signs with UNC Charlotte

The Hayesville Yellow Jackets star tight end has signed to play college football for the University of Charlotte. The 49ers are getting an elite pass-catcher who is an incredible athlete, especially considering his size. Mctaggart will have to work as a blocker at the next level. This is often the case with tight ends transitioning to the college level. With only one tight end catching any passes for UNC Charlotte this year. Mctaggart has the potential to possibly fulfill a need for the 49ers and earn early playing time. The 49ers went 5-7 this year and are hoping this recruiting class can play a big role in getting them back to bowl eligibility.  With the addition of Mctaggart and his playmaking ability, the 49ers are getting a very underrated recruit who has the physical potential to greatly exceed his 3-star rating.
