Search warrant results in drug trafficking charges

HAYESVILLE, N.C. –  A search warrant in Warne, North Carolina revealed multiple suspected controlled substances and yielded two arrests.

On September 23, 2021, Clay County Sheriff’s Office Investigators received information regarding drug activity.

Anthony Coffey, 33, of Warne and Sheena Parton, 35, of Warne were taken into custody and each given a $100,000 secured bond. Both subjects were charged with the following;

  • Trafficking in Heroin
  • PWIMSD SCH I
  • Possession of Heroin
  • PWIMSD SCH II
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Maintaining Dwelling for Keeping Controlled Substance

Both subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
