CLAY COUNTY, NC – Clay County Water and Sewer Department are notifying citizens of a water main break and outage for those on the county system.
The main break is located along Hwy 64. Crews are working to restore water to residents.
The outage also resulted in Clay County Schools Summer Learning program to end early today. Below is a statement from the school.
“CCS has been notified by the Clay County Water Department of a complete water outage for the county water system. As a result, we will be ending our summer learning program at 1:30 today. All students have been fed lunch. Buses will depart at 1:30. Car riders can be picked up at each school. We are assuming that the water problem will be fixed by tomorrow. If it is not, we will notify all parents of any further cancellations.”
