Michael H. Grand, 47, of Hayesville passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at his residence. He was a native and longtime resident of Florida. Michael worked as a tree trimmer for Tri-County Tree Service and enjoyed climbing trees. Michael was an avid fisherman and loved the ocean. He also loved just about everything outdoors. He liked discovering new places and traveling. He was a huge Florida Gator fan. Michael adored his grandchildren and was a proud grandfather.

Michael was a fighter and battled diabetes for over ten years.

He was the son of the late Marvin Arthur and Peggy Lee Mathews Grand. He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Marian Grand; and a brother, Chris Grand.

Surviving are a daughter, Marchayla Grand of Live Oak, Florida; two sons, Michael Grand of Stuart, Florida and Marc Grand of Live Oak, Florida; two sisters, Kelly Hennessy, and Michelle Ramsey and husband, Anthony, all of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; a brother, John Grand and wife, Shari of Sunrise, Florida; a sister-in-law, Kim Grand of Hollywood, Florida; five grandchildren, Taylor, Makinzly, Ricky, Kobe, and Marc; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Stuart, Florida.
