Kenneth “Tanky” Thomas, age 64 of Murphy, NC passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019 at his residence.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the son of the late William and Velma Sprinkles Thomas. Tanky was a carpenter. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
He is survived by three sons, Johnny, Brett and Brad Thomas; two daughters, Heather and Drew Thomas; one brother, Joel Thomas; one sister, Sandra Coleman; and several grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC. Rev. Edward Carter will officiate. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Morris Graves, Tom Graves, Bryan Graves, Justin Byers, Brett Thomas, Brad Thomas and Joel Thomas.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm, Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home.
