Kelly Luther Owens, age 50 of Warne, NC passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Union General Hospital.

He was the son of Luther Owens and the late Jerleen Owenby Owens. Kelly was a physical therapy assistant with Mountain Home Nursing. He was a Steelers fan, enjoyed collecting comic books and football cards. Kelly was a great man and was dedicated to his family, friends and patients.He loved to make people laugh and he was a very loving husband and father. Kelly will be greatly missed, although we know he is rejoicing in Heaven with his family who has gone on before.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Vicki Brooks Owens; son, Kasey Owens; daughter, Lindseyrae Cowart and grandchildren, Adalyn Vandewerker and Alex Cowart.

The family will receive friends from 12-2pm, Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Hayesville. A graveside service will follow at Pine Log Baptist Church Cemtetery. Rev. Aud Brown will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kasey Owens, Lonnie Owens, Dale Flemings, Dalson Stanley, Eric Vandewerker, Blake Brooks and Steve Brooks.
