Ralph Jackson “Jack” Wood Jr., 67, of Marble passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at his residence. He was a native of Nantahala, where he had lived most of his life. Jack worked in tunnel construction for W.L. Hailey & Company. He later went on to become a machinist with OMC.
He was the son of the late Ralph Jackson Sr. and Evelyn Morgan Wood and the husband of the late Mary Plumer Wood. He was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel Jeremy Wood, who died March 10, 2006.
Surviving are a son, Jason K. Wood and wife, Christy of Nantahala; and a brother, Bart Wood and wife, Lora of Nantahala.
No services are planned at this time.
An inurnment will take place at Aquone Community Cemetery at a later date.
