Lisa Johnson, age 55 of Murphy, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 in a Chattanooga, Tennessee hospital. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, but was raised in Murphy where she had lived most of her life. She had graduated from Murphy High School and went on to work as a Cosmetologist for over thirty years. Lisa was a devoted and loving mother, a caring friend, and was very proud to be a grandmother to her two infant grandsons and her only granddog, Daisy. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed being together with family.
She was the daughter of Jerry Johnson of Murphy and the late Patricia Marie Johnson.
Surviving are two daughters, Cierra Johnson and Carina Dockery, both of Murphy; two sons, Kyle and Kamen Dockery, both of Murphy; three brothers, Richard Bowling of Hamilton, Ohio, Timothy and Steve Johnson of Murphy; and two grandsons, Carter Rowland and Larkin Johnson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with Rev. Warren Golden officiating. The interment will be in Ogreeta Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve and Tim Johnson, Carl Dockery, Cullen and Mitch Garmon, Mike Carter, and Austin Rowland.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, January 14th at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
